All employers must be registered with the Workmen's compensation fund (WCF).

The WCF takes care of the medical claims for injury on duty by employers' staff members. This is a vital component with relation to industry such as mining, construction, manufacturing, etc. where injuries is more prone to happen.

The WCF would cover the latter under certain provisions with relation to the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act of South Africa.

Taxrek would automatically register any entity (when becoming an employer by law) at the WCF therefore ensuring that our clients are protected from any medical claims that could arise from a staff member that becomes injured on duty.
